Finding out what your home is worth

The home value page is how you ask a local agent for a proper market analysis of your home. Here is exactly what you get, and when.

What you fill in

Your address and ZIP, the property type, size, beds and baths if you know them, when you are thinking of selling, and how to reach you. The consent box is not pre-ticked: you have to tick it before the form will send.

What you get back

  1. Straight away, on an agent's own branded site, you may see an estimated range on screen. It is built from the asking prices of homes currently for sale near you in that agent's feed, scaled by your square footage when you gave it, and it tells you how many listings it used.
  2. Then a local agent runs the real analysis. They pull recent sold comps, adjust for your home's condition and features, and email you the full comparative market analysis.
  3. That second step is a person's work, so it is not instant. The agent also gets in touch to talk through the pricing.

The instant range is an estimate from current asking prices, not an appraisal and not a sold-comp analysis. If there is not enough nearby inventory to say anything responsible, no number is shown at all, which is deliberate. On the main REHL site (rehl.us) no instant number is shown, because listings are only published on an individual brokerage's own site.

Does the agent see my request?

Yes. That is the point of the form. Your request goes straight to the brokerage behind the site you are on as a seller enquiry, with your address, timeline, and contact details, and it is assigned to an agent there.

Do I have to list with them?

No. There is no cost and no obligation. The analysis is yours to keep.

What about the sell page?

The sell page is a starting point, not a form. It links the three seller tools in the order most people want them: the home valuation, the net proceeds calculator, and the selling guide.
