Open houses from your MLS, and the three promo posts

No. REHL reads your open houses out of your MLS feed, so you enter them once, where you already have to.

How the sync works

  • It runs with your listing sync, roughly every half hour.
  • It only pulls open houses on listings your brokerage may market, so another broker's event never lands under your brand.
  • If the MLS cancels or withdraws an open house, REHL cancels it too and drops any promo posts that have not gone out.

An open house that came from the MLS is owned by the MLS. Change the day or time there and it updates here on the next sync. The host agent is the one field you set in REHL.

REHL deliberately does not copy the free-text open house remarks from the feed. Those are written by whoever listed the property and often carry a gate code or somebody's mobile number, which has no business on your public site or in a caption.

The three promo posts

Posting open houses is off until you switch it on, because three posts on your accounts is not something REHL should start doing for you uninvited. The switch is on your Listings screen, it covers the whole brokerage, and it is an admin action. Turning it on also plans the open houses already on your calendar.

  • An announcement, as soon as the open house is on the books.
  • A reminder 24 hours before doors open.
  • A day-of post at 9am, local to the property, not to your office.

All three link to the open house RSVP page on your branded site, not to the listing page, so a click lands on the form instead of costing you one more tap at the moment interest is highest.

Changing the times

The open house card on the listing shows exactly when each of the three goes out, read from the queued posts themselves. When you schedule an open house you can set your own time for any of the three instead. A time in the past, or one that lands after doors open, is refused rather than quietly queued.

The reminder post is missing.

If the open house is less than about 25 hours away, the 24-hour reminder would land after the announcement, so it is skipped. That is not an error.

I moved the open house. What happens to the posts?

The drafted posts are cancelled and rewritten, because their wording names the day and the hour. Anything already published stays published. A cancelled draft does not count against the listing's weekly post limit.

A post is listed but marked as not written yet.

The next scheduled run writes it, usually within a few minutes. If it stays that way, the listing has hit its weekly post limit for your plan.

I turned open house posting off. What about the ones already queued?

They are cancelled, including for open houses that have already started. Published posts are not affected.
